Welcome to the weather page!

Hi, and welcome to my weather page! I hope you enjoy it and get some use out of it.
If you see any mistakes here, or have some good weather links you want me to add, please email me! :)
I first became interested in weather when I was quite young. At first I was terrified of bad weather, and especially of tornadoes, even though I had never experienced one. Finally, as I got older, I began to study it more carefully and finally lost my weird fear about it. Of course I'm still wary of tornadoes, but I don't cry every time a tornado warning is issued now. (ha ha!)
What I would really love to do is storm chasing! It can be very dangerous if you have no knowledge of how storms and tornadoes "work", but if you learn the safe ways to chase storms, it's not so dangerous. (The most dangerous part of knowledgeable storm chasing is NOT the tornado...it's the lightning!) I'll put some storm-chasing links below, so you can check it out for yourself. Most of those pages are written by storm-chasers themselves. They know how dangerous it can be first-hand, so please follow their recommendations if you decide you'd like to chase, too. It's not something you learn overnight, either.
Again, please email me if you have questions about this page! :)
**Here are some pictures of a spectacular storm in 2003 (8-11-03)
These are my own personal pictures I've taken.

Here are some mammatus clouds left-over from the Jarrell, TX tornado of May 27th, 1997. Read my story of being caught in that storm.

A very spectacular thunderstorm! This picture is from sometime in 1995.

Another nice thunderstorm! This one developed a wall cloud (seen here) but I couldn't tell if there was any rotation in it. This storm dumped about 1 inch of pea-sized hail further up this road from us, and it caused a trailer accident! This is in northern New Mexico, in August of 1998.

This storm came upon us while we were at a friends house in Taos, NM! It was still a few miles away at this point. We were all sitting out on their front lawn. August, 1996.

This apparently non-severe rainstorm (I didn't even notice any lightning in it!) produced this nice-looking wall cloud to our east.
