The Homeschooling Page

Hello friends! I want everyone to know how wonderful homeschooling is, so I made this page. I was homeschooled my entire life. My Mom taught me to read with phonics when I was 6 years old, and I haven't stopped reading yet! We used the "unschooling" method. Anyone can homeschool! All it takes is being willing to make the commitment, and then not lose heart if everything seems to be going wrong at first! No one is more qualified to teach your child than YOU! It is not necessary to be certified as a teacher to homeschool. It is not even necessary to use a curriculum! We never did :). I know some people worry about that. You are your child's parent and you are responsible to make sure they grow up safely and learn how to live life as Christian adults. With the way the government schools are nowdays (and yes, even Christian and private schools) it simply makes NO sense to expose your child(ren) to potential harm which comes to them, either by the wrong things being taught or by crazy people (and other kids) who do awful things.
